I know nothing about websites and the need to know where start. I do not want to put my product on ebay due to the costs. Also, can you tell if etsy (like eBay) have costs involved?

Yahoo sells one for about $ 15 a month. A few other services are cheaper than that. open the yahoo web search. I suggest starting at eBay however. ebay.com
